Ceramic knives depending on the place of fabrication and company might have metallic strips in them. Something done to keep people from using them to penetrate security.
Some people out there advocate their use as a self-defense option for people traveling in nonpermissive environments, but the problem I see with it is the narrative it creates if found about you and your intentions ( especially now ). If you don’t have a Garrett wand at home to test it’s non-metallic properties then you are in for a shock if you get one of the knives that have a metallic strip in them.
Do your homework.
