Darn Tough Hunter Boot Socks

January 5, 2017 by Scott Witner Leave a Comment

Darn Tough Hunter Boot Socks

I’m a huge fan of wearing wool socks for any outdoor activity. In the warmer months I tend to wear a high ankle wool sock designed for hiking. When the temperatures drop below freezing I generally move into a boot sock. I’ve used several brands of wool socks over the years and have my opinions of them all, but that’s not what this article is about. For this article we are going to take a quick look at one of the offerings from Darn Tough.

I’ve had my eye on getting a pair of Darn Tough wool socks to try out, but honestly I’ve got enough socks to not really need another pair; until now. A well-known reputable shooter in the training industry has always sworn by Darn Tough socks which is what originally turned me on to them. Fast forward almost a full year and he is mentioning again how great these socks are. I succumbed to the peer pressure and bought a pair of the Darn Tough Hunter Boot Socks. I plan on wearing the hell out of these socks to get a feel for how they perform.

“The woods and wilderness can be an unpredictable environment. Up here in Vermont you never know what you’ll get. Snow, rain, blistering heat or freezing cold. Terrain varies from bone dry to boggy. Our Hunt socks were designed with the uncertainties of the wild in mind. All weather construction, ultra-wicking and fast drying, they’re a versatile piece of equipment that protects your feet no matter what.” – Darn Tough
