The Mayflower Pusher Chest Rig (UW Gen VI) is one of my top choices for green ops and reconnaissance patrols. It is a very light rig, and it’s wide should straps will help you to carry heavy loads. Used with a PACA underneath, the Pusher Chest Rig can be used in almost any situation and […]
When it comes to choosing chest rigs, Mayflower is one of the leading companies that provides their customer with well-built chest rigs. Made with 500D fabric, the Mayflower UW Gen IV Chest Rig is soft and fits well on the body. It is also very comfortable when wearing a PACA under the rig. The Mayflower UW […]
I had the pleasure to review one of Crye’s newest creations, the Crye Adaptive Vest System, or AVS. The configuration was easy and the operator’s manual will help you make sure everything is setup properly. The Multicam fabric is great – we all know about Crye’s fabric quality – and the stitching is very well done. At a quick glance, most plate carriers look the same. And to many, who primarily use them for range use or lighter abuse situations, you may not notice the difference between the untold number of options out there. I have run most types of carriers you can imagine overseas where your choice of product very […]

I recently came across an interesting video about current gear in the Russian FSB Spetsnaz. Hands down these guys always had the newest most advanced gear at their disposal. Times of the “I just need my AK and my sneakers” are gone. Instead we see that at least these guys don’t talk BS that tracked […]
If you’ve ever had to walk a mile in someone else’s shoes – especially if that someone is an adventure type – you know that trekking in the snow can be as difficult as looking cool in a speedo. Yes… feels almost impossible.  Even with a decent pair of snowshoes trudging through the snow can whoop your butt. […]
