The Salming Miles is one of the new additions the Salming line and the most heavily cushioned shoe that Salming offers. It stays true to the Salming story with a 4 mm heel toe drop but has plenty of plush cushioning in both the heel and forefoot while staying remarkably light for its category. Although […]
First off, I wanted to thank my bro Clayton for getting these boots for me, and I want to thank INOV-8 as well for sending us three pairs of boots and shoes to rate. So, let’s get into talking about this boot. In the short YouTube video I did a quick assessment of the boot […]
We haven’t brought you a fresh knife review in a great long while, so I figured that if I came with a new blog post about a knife, it had better be something truly fantastic. That being said, I got around to picking up a knife that I have been cautiously eyeballing for no short […]
The last time we checked in with Hogue, the company had just finished modernizing their brand. This time they’ve turned their attention to bolstering their product line. Hogue will soon be shipping their first button lock flipper knife, called the X5. The knife features a new patent-pending blade retention device and marks a number of other […]

Support, comfort, stability all factor in […]

Caswell has won multiple awards for mechanical innovations in the past, and brought all his self-taught engineering know-how to bear on this jaw-dropping design. With the excitement the knife has generated, there is little doubt we’ll see […]
Back in September of 2011 I reviewed the Combative Edge SR11 by Rob Walker. Since that time I have had ample opportunity to run my SR11 through the preverbal ringer, but also to take note of the other knives of the Combative Edge line, including the M1 folder and the ultra aggressive Salus fixed blade. […]
There is something about a custom Karambit. I suppose there is something about most any custom knife really, but at times I find myself holding a custom knife that is just too perfect, and way to god damn expensive, and I find myself asking, what is the damn point? For this very reason, I often […]
Knives are just as important for everyday carry as guns and flashlights. To this end, Bravo Company is now offering LowVz knives from Colonel Blades — unconventional knives that are designed to be extremely effective yet low profile. The LowVz features a 2.75-inch blade made of N690Co steel for great edge retention and a 3-inch, […]
When I choose a knife to carry each day, the choice depends on what type of knife interests me the most at that time. Sometimes I prefer to carry a light, thin, relatively small knife, and other times I want a bigger, heavier knife. Most of the time, I’ll choose one knife that catches my […]
