Ajita Sherer

Ajita Sherer Ajita Sherer spent eight years on active duty in the U.S. Air Force and currently serves as an employee of the DoD, dedicating his career to Combat Rescue. As an engine troop and later a Flying Crew Chief on CSAR C-130Js, he deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan in support of SOF missions, often serving as the sole mechanic on aircraft deep in contested environments. Working closely with Air Force Pararescue (PJs), JTACs, and Combat Controllers, as well as Navy SEALs, Army Rangers, and our sister country's Tier 1 units, he provided direct support to some of the military’s most demanding rescue and combat operations. He is most proud of his role in real-world rescue missions in Operation Inherent Resolve, saving lives and delivering trauma care to SOF teams and Marine Task Force Lion. Now an Aerospace Propulsion curriculum developer, Sherer is solely responsible for developing curriculum and training the next generation of engine system maintainers on more than 70% of all Air Force aircraft, to include his former CSAR platforms.

What Would Alvin York Carry Today? – Modern Marksman Loadout

In the closing weeks of World War I, a former conscientious objector from the hills of Tennessee changed history in a French forest. Armed with nothing but a bolt-action rifle, a .45 Colt, and conviction forged by faith, Sergeant Alvin C. York killed 25 enemy fighters, and captured 132 more, all in one firefight. With […]

Why Every American Should Own a Plate Carrier (And Plates)

Preparedness isn’t paranoia, it’s patriotism. The Modern Militiaman: Why Your Loadout Starts With a Rifle, and Armor From Lexington Green, to the rooftops of Koreatown, Americans have always answered chaos not with helplessness, but with resolve. Back then, they called them minutemen. Today, we call it being squared away. In 2025, the symbol of that […]

The Civivi Mini-Praxis: Little Blade, Big Impact

The Civivi Mini-Praxis doesn’t say much, until you flip it open and suddenly it’s slicing through everything from Amazon boxes to rogue threads on your cargo pants like a scalpel in a combat medic’s hands. It’s not trying to be flashy, but it is trying to earn a permanent slot in your everyday carry rotation. […]

The Fairbairn-Sykes Fighting Knife: A Commando Blade That Changed Special Forces Forever

Here at LoadOut, we all love talking knives. There’s just so many of them, that have so many different functions. There are knives that hang on belts, some knives that open Amazon boxes, knives that go into the glovebox for an emergency. And then there are knives quite literally born in blood, trained in darkness, […]

MAC-10: The Wild History of America’s Most Iconic (and Overrated) Submachine Gun

Friday is for fun, and what more fun could we have than discussing one of the most fun firearms in modern pop-culture. So when it comes to firearms with an attitude problem, few can hold a candle to the MAC-10. It’s loud, boxy, unapologetically ugly, and about as subtle as a trenchcoat full of bears. […]

The BAR: Browning’s Battlefield Sledgehammer

Let’s discuss the Browning Automatic Rifle, the mighty BAR. The gun that showed up to war, kicked the damn door in, lit a cigar, and told the rest of the squad, “Follow me, boys, I’ll lead you to Berlin.” Invented by the patron saint of American firearms, John Moses Browning, the BAR (specifically the M1918) […]

West Coast Armor IIIA Plates Review: Lightweight, American-Made Protection

“You Can’t Save the World if You’re Full of Holes”  Let’s paint a quick picture: you’re kitted up, heart pounding, clearing rooms like it’s a Tuesday morning at Fallujah Starbucks. You want gear that won’t fail, won’t weigh you down, and sure as hell wasn’t made in a sweatshop halfway across the globe. Enter West […]

Tisas 1911A1 U.S. Army Review: Best Budget .45 ACP WW2 1911 Clone?

First Shot Let me tell you, few things in life hit harder than a .45 ACP from a slab-sided chunk of American steel. And while this one technically hails from Turkey, the Tisas 1911A1 is like that smiling immigrant in basic training who shows up, shakes your hand firm, and immediately volunteers for airborne school. […]

Pyramyd AIR’s Springfield Hellcat Pro CO2 BB Pistol Is the Ultimate Dry-Fire Trainer

The Springfield Hellcat Pro CO2 BB pistol lets you train like a Tier 1 operator on a thrift store budget, all without waking the neighbors or your ammo fund from its peaceful slumber.

Juggernaut Tactical Frame Review: The Best Upgrade for Your 365

There’s a fine line between “pocket pistol” and “pocket rocket,” and Juggernaut Tactical just bulldozed across it with their all-metal grip module for the Sig P365. If the stock frame was Peter Parker, this thing is Venom, heavier, meaner, and oozing pure tacti-COOL muscle. You want control? Check. You want looks? BIG check, it’s like […]
