OC Tactical Hearing Protection Cover

August 10, 2016 by Loadout Room Guest Authors Leave a Comment

OC Tactical Hearing Protection Cover

I’ve been using Peltor ComTac’s for a quite a while now and, to be quite honest, I never felt that they were uncomfortable. But, I recently got an OC Tactical Hearing Protection Cover and I must say they do make my Peltor’s more comfortable.

It’s quite a simple product. Basically, it’s a padded cover that goes over your stock headband. It gives it some additional padding with moisture wicking properties. They come in 2 versions – standard and a thinner model for wearing under a helmet. Since I still occasionally wear a helmet on the range, I went with the slim line model. You can order them in pretty much any pattern you desire and they’re made with either 300D or 550D Cordura (depending on the pattern). They also have a 4” section of loop on the top for a name tape. The sizes are made to fit Peltor Comtacs/Tac 6, Sordin Supreme Pro-X, Sordin Supreme Pro and Howard Leight Impact Sport.

OC Tactical Hearing Protection Cover

All in all, this is a cool little product. It won’t completely change your life, but it does make your ear pro more comfortable for those long days out on the range and at only $20, it’s well worth. All of OC Tactical’s products are made in the USA (a big plus in my book) and are available at www.octactical.com. There’s usually a bit of a wait, but that’s to be expected with a small company making quality goods.
