Seen by some as nothing more than a range toy, many shooters now use AR-15 pistols in a variety of roles including home defense. With the advent of pistol arm braces, there is renewed interest in this useful variant of the ubiquitous AR.
I prefer the 9mm flavor as the lack of a gas system make even silly short barrels function just fine. The New Frontier Armory AR pistol in the featured image has an 8 inch barrel and shoots great out to 100 yards.
