The L.A.G. Defender IWB/OWB Holster and Single Pistol Mag Carrier v2

September 12, 2017 by Loadout Room Guest Authors Leave a Comment

L.A.G. The Defender IWB/OWB Holster and Single Pistol Mag Carrier v2

When I received the L.A.G. Defender IWB/OWB holster and the L.A.G. single mag carrier V2 in the mail I could tell right away that they were both awesome products. The Defender holster is unique because it can be switched from IWB to OWB by simply swapping out the belt loops. The holster is very comfortable either inside or outside the waistband.

The L.A.G. Defender holster is the most popular holster that L.A.G. makes and after using wearing it all day, it was very easy to see why. When ordering your holster you get to pick between the thickness of your kydex, either 0.06″ or 0.08″ depending on your preference. The weapon is secured by isolating the friction onto the trigger guard of the weapon which reduces wear on other parts of the weapon. You can adjust the amount of retention by a screw located just under the trigger guard.

The holster has a flared front lip for easy reholstering. The holster comes up almost the entire length of the pistol on the side that’s closest to your body which is a feature I really like. The mag release on the weapon is also protected which is a nice feature as well. There are two holes on the belt loops that allow for height adjustment depending on your preference. You pick which size belt loops you want when ordering but I think it would be nice if they included both 1.50″ and 1.75″ belt loops with the holster.

I also have a L.A.G. single pistol mag carrier V2 which is also a great piece of equipment. It is made of 0.08″ of kydex and features adjustable retention so you can fine tune to your personal preference. You have multiple mounting options when ordering that include ELS/TMMS, Tek Lok, and a belt clip. I have the belt clip options which works great for everyday carry.

Overall, I am extremely impressed with L.A.G Tactical.  They make solid products that are comfortable and practical. They are headquartered in Reno, NV and come with a lifetime warranty, saying that if you ever break a holster or belt loop they will replace it free of charge. I would highly recommend these products for anyone looking for a great holster and mag carrier.
