Holsters

Stealth Operator Holster

Stealth Operator Holster

One day while walking through a local sporting goods store I came across a holster that caught my eye. It was a Stealth Operator holster and it is made by a company called Phanlanx Defense Systems. The holster claims to be able to fit more than 150 different gun models. I bought the holster and have been pleased with it so far.

The holster comes in two different versions, the compact and the full size, both of which are outside the waistband carry. The compact version can accommodate more firearms due to the holster being shorter and not bending inward at the muzzle end. I purchased the full size because I personally don’t like the muzzle of my guns protruding from the holster. The holster is made of a durable injection molded nylon shell and features rust-resistant black oxide hardware. The fasteners are treated with a premium thread sealant which is designed to resist the light shock and vibration from transport and everyday carry.

The firearm is secured in the holster by what Phanlanx calls their unique frame lock technology, which is essentially the holster gripping the weapon’s trigger guard. The belt loops are just barely over 1.75 inches, which is perfect when I wear my Blackhawk riggers belt. The holster features a slight forward can’t, which allows for a very easy draw. There is no adjustments necessary on the holster, or break in period needed. However, my holster had a few rough edges but nothing that can’t be fixed with a little sandpaper.

I routinely use this holster to carry my Glock 19 and Sig Sauer P226 and am happy with it. Both the Full size and compact are available in a right hand model but. If you are looking for a left-handed version than the compact model is your only option as of now. I have the OD green color but the holster also comes is black, tan, and pink. The holsters are manufactured in Gainesville FL and come with a 3 year warranty.
