Safariland QLS Holster System

We, as shooters, are always looking for the next leg up in holsters: we want more secure retention, faster draws and lower profiles. We want better mounting platforms and a softer finish that won’t scratch the finish right off our guns. We want and we want but few manufacturers come close to meeting all those […]

Top five preferred weapon modifications

Everyone, civilian or military, who enjoys weapons loves to trick out their gun. We all have personal preferences to how we set up our firearms to cater to our own style of shooting. Maybe it’s the technique that dictates the specific placement of certain mods, it could be purpose-driven reasons for particular accessories, or maybe […]

The Black Storm Defense Holster

For over a month now I’ve been carrying my CZ P09 in the Black Storm Defense IWB holster. Before I started this month I was largely a fan of OWB carry and my everyday carry was a Walther PPS. The jump from a subcompact pistol to a full-sized handgun in a carry method I was […]

Sig Sauer P225: Accurate, Reliable and Durable

The readers of the site should have already figured out long ago that the writers here on the site like our guns. I’ll be the first one to tell you I wasn’t in a traditional combat arms job during my nearly 10-year military career. I didn’t have a career of kicking doors and bringing hate […]

Something that is often overlooked is fighting from the ground. The most important term in gunfighting is fighting. It should never be forgotten […]

Desantis Cargo Pocket Holster | The Office Thigh Rig

When I accepted my current position I also accepted a new uniform that is somewhat paramilitary. It combines a military style dress with cargo pants. The resulting effect is not a lot of opportunities to comfortably carry a gun. For a short time, I went to carrying off-body in my constant companion laptop bag. That […]

DeSantis Gunhide | SL Raptor Holster: For your IWB and OWB needs

Having the right holster makes all the difference, and after trying a few, you realize there are many similarities and differences out there. Ever since I purchased my Glock 17, my first firearm, I have experimented with countless Kydex holsters from various manufacturers. When the opportunity came to try out another holster, this time courtesy […]
