The Loadout Room
Professional Gear Reviews
With the amount of work our snipers are getting done downrange, the public interest in snipers and what they do are increasing as the GWOT goes on. I figured I would give the LoadOutRoom Team a chance to see what goes on in the mind of a sniper to make a shot at extremely long ranges…1.14 miles […]
I recently had a chance to work with the O.S.S. Suppressor system here in Texas. Let me first tell you a little about the company, and what these guys are all about. O.S.S. (Operators Suppressors System) O.S.S. develops and manufactures suppression technologies that are based on real world, wartime, and commercial demands. This company is […]
The boys over at Raven Concealment Systems recently released the OWB Quick Mount Straps for their holsters and carriers. They were cool enough to get a few sets of the QMS’s in my hands to check out.
There is a misconceived notion that the Geneva Convention restricts means of warfare to exclude measures that cause “excess” bodily harm – such as hollow point bullets. These things are addressed in the Hague Conventions (held in 1899 and 1907). The Geneva Convention is the general name for the four treaties and three protocols that […]
If you are in the market for a new AR platform I would highly recommend taking a look at the LWRC M6 A2 SPR. I have spent a good amount of time behind one of these fine piston driven carbines and like all of LWRC’s products it is nothing less than top of the line.

A few months ago I was searching for the perfect optic to outfit my new LWRC SPR platform. I was having a hard time finding an optic that would fit the demands of everything I wanted to be able to do with the rifle. When I decide to purchase or have a rifle built I […]
I’ve had some emails, personal messages, and comments from people who follow my YouTube channel requesting me to take a look at the Ruger SR9C, and have asked me how it stacks up against the Glock 19. I hadn’t put many rounds through either, so I decided that meant it was time to hit the […]
Light and reliable, Surefire has done it again with their MAG5-60. This 60 Round AR magazine weighs 2.02 pounds fully loaded. It fits in most conventional AR double mag pouches. The MAG5-60 is only 1.75 inches longer than a 30 rounder and twice as thick. The MAG5-60 is compatible with all M-16 and AR-15 variants plus […]
I wrote a series a few months back about building a custom precision rifle. In the series I highlighted a few good stock options that I consider to be some of the very best on the market. Among those mentioned was the Mcrees Chassis by Mcrees Precision. I was so impressed with the Mcrees Chassis […]
