It’s summertime here in NW Florida and that means festival season is underway so when the wife says “Honey I bought tickets to the Craft Beer Festival” what she means is “I’ve planned your day and you’ll love it”. 25 Breweries and nine Distilleries were represented on the deck of a local favorite restaurant, The […]
Evil can strike when you least expect it. Whether you’re at church, the supermarket, a movie theater, or just walking down the street, you need to be prepared for anything. Carrying a concealed weapon isn’t always practical, especially if your clothes don’t offer adequate concealment such as summertime clothing in NW Florida or any beach […]
“When are you going to put that thing in?” A legitimate question my wife posed to me about the box sitting next to her car labeled “TruckVault” that had arrived 4 days earlier and was “still” sitting there. To be honest I was a little worried that this was going to be a project that […]
In the world of military-inspired timepieces, few watches stand out like the Praesidus C-47 D-Day Watch. Designed to honor the bravery and resilience of those who participated in the historic D-Day invasion, this watch is more than just a timekeeper; it’s a tribute to the valor of the Greatest Generation. A Design Carved From History […]
You’re bringing cigars, right? SOFREP Managing Editor Guy McCardle was asking me what I was packing for SOF Week. Umm, Yes of course, why? Because I’m bringing a bottle of Fior Scotch to review, have you ever had any? I had to admit I hadn’t, mostly because I’m not a big Scotch drinker but, if […]
Holy Mother of Blessed Acceleration, don’t fail me now! The words of Elwood Blues echoed in my head as I entered the highway interchange with .25 miles of space to navigate across 7 lanes of traffic, including the on-ramp. Along the way I also had to deal with a love-struck Romeo performing a running roadblock […]
You couldn’t walk anywhere without seeing advanced technology applied to something, seriously it was SHOT Show again except specifically for special operations forces. SOF Week 2024 brought out the big guns—literally and figuratively. This year’s lineup showcased some serious tech that’s set to revolutionize the battlefield for special operations forces. All this and more was […]
Many companies have a good warranty and stand behind their products and many go above and beyond with that notion. But rarely do you find the President and CEO of a company literally standing behind something that could blow up in their face as they use it, just to prove how good the product is. […]
Holsters are like rifle slings, you need one and would prefer one you like but often you end up settling for what does the job. For me at least, my concealed carry woes are gone thanks to 1791 and their new line of Light Bearing Leather Holsters. The size 4 fits my light-bearing Glock 30 […]
Two months ago I received this 45L pack, normally it doesn’t take this long to get a review out about an item, especially one as good as this, but this took a while to learn just how good it was. I’ve used it for work carrying my laptop, lunch, and water, I’ve used it for […]
