Professional Gear Reviews
Recently a friend of mine called me to ask some advice on gear. Specifically, he was planning a 3 day hike with his two kids (adult aged kids), and wanted to make sure he wasn’t forgetting anything essential. Their hike would entail sleeping out each night, and having to pack everything they were going to […]
The Sierra Block 1 in the Afghan war print certainly turns heads when it comes to packs. It’s certainly not contained to your normal tactical colors of black, FDE, or OD green. The Afghan war print on the Sierra Block 1 litters the pack with grenades, AK 47s, and fighter jets. It doesn’t look like […]

Kershaw Malt and Hops knives The Malt and Hops are two new knives from Kershaw and custom knifemaker Gustavo Cecchini. Both feature Gus’ characteristic sculpted style but also have an interesting feature that (we admit) just may have been inspired by the fine brew we were sharing with Gus at the time: a flipper that doubles […]

If you’ve been around guns for very long at all, it’s safe to say you’ve likely heard of or handled a Hogue Inc. product. Long known for their overmolded stocks and handgun grips, they’ve branched out and have begun producing a much wider variety of products. Among them is the Hogue EX-T01 Tomahawk, an interesting deviation […]
