When it comes to force protection, defensive, and offensive operations, a solid plan is the foundation that can determine whether a force succeeds or fails in accomplishing their mission. A defensive plan usually incorporates a multitude of topics, but I’m going to be focusing on one topic in particular for this review.

Why should we focus so much on the smallest details of an operation or defensive plan when there are larger and more pressing topics to tend to? Well, when your primary weapon runs dry and the enemy is still coming through the wire, I’m guessing that it won’t be such a small detail anymore to anyone involved. Having that little bit of extra ammo may mean the difference between life and death. Success or failure.
The Tac-Tote Magazine Carrier does exactly what it claims in order to mitigate that risk.

The Tac-Tote Magazine Carrier gives the end-user the ability to store extra ammo exactly where they need it for quick access in an emergency.
The reinforced pouch can carry 3 standard rifle magazines that are held securely in place with a quick-release retention strap. The strap can be opened from either side and a removable mag separator is included that seems to keep a little extra space between the mags for easy access.
One of the best features of this product are the four industrial strength magnets on the back of the carrier. This is definitely one of the key selling points for this product.
For any member of the military or nuclear security officer working an entry control point or other type of checkpoint, this is perfect. Slap one or two of these magazine carriers on the inside of the hardened booth or bunker, affixed to a metal object, and you’re in business.
Working as maritime security? Stage several of these in key locations on the ship and you have instant resupply capabilities on the move. This product can be used in any line of work or location that has you protecting vulnerable targets or personnel.
Law enforcement officers with access to a patrol rifle can keep several of these staged inside the trunk or other location within the vehicle for quick access to extra ammo. Although the product is designed to carry ammunition, there is no reason it can’t be used for other tasks. A few things that come to mind are storage for tourniquets, first aid kits, extra radio batteries, etc.
One of the reasons I like this product so much is because it’s practical and versatile. It’s no secret in any of my reviewed products that I make a strong opinion of a product based on the actual concept of use. A lot of products coming out nowadays that are geared for the military or “tactical” community are just flashy, with no real practical purpose. I can **STRONGLY** say that this product has the ability to save and protect lives, while prolonging the lethality of the person that depends on it.
Having used this product myself outside the scope of my work in the nuclear security sector, I find it particularly useful for storing extra ammunition inside and outside my gun safe. The employment of this product is really only limited by the imagination. There are so many useful ways to use this magazine carrier, and I fully intend on buying more in the future to see what else I can come up with.
