Plano All Weather Gun Cases: Industrial Construction and a Dri-Loc Seal

October 11, 2018 by Mark Miller Leave a Comment

Plano All Weather Gun Cases: Industrial Construction and a Dri-Loc Seal
Plano’s All Weather cases protect valuables from damage and the elements. Available in 36-inch, 42-inch and 52-inch sizes, the All Weather cases both a rugged design with a Dri-Loc seal. The continuous seal is watertight and dust-proof in order to protect the case’s contents even in extreme environmental conditions.
I fly regularly for firearms training. This means I need a case which will stand up to baggage handlers and not weigh so much that I am overweight with guns and ammo inside. The Plano is perfect for this and affordable.
You spent a lot of money on your guns and optics. Plano lets you protect them without breaking the bank. These cases are a splendid compromise of light weight and strength. You can fly with guns and ammo without the weight of the case costing you overweight baggage fees.
The 52-inch case will hold two normal guns or one big gun like the CMMG Mk3 with a Nikon BLACK FX1000 scope on a Warne mount. The Mk3 features a Premium 24″ 416 stainless steel heavy taper profile barrel in 6.5 Creedmoor. The Mk3 DTR2 is equipped with CMMG’s own SV muzzle brake and RML15 M-Lok hand guard. Every DTR2 rifle has a Geissele SSA 2-Stage trigger, Magpul MOE pistol grip and Magpul PRS buttstock installed.

The big Plano makes TSA happy with two key lockable heavy-duty, dual-stage latches. The case also features built-in pressure-release valves and molded padlock gates for airline travel. The 52-inch model has molded handles and easy-glide wheels.

Plano’s All Weather cases come standard with soft pluck-able foam pre-scored into small cubes for simple do-it-yourself custom case interiors that hug and protect your gear.  I like this feature, but I have to carry different guns, so I prefer to leave the cubes in place and compress the foam.
