Vanquest 2.0 Husky EDC Pouch

September 4, 2017 by Loadout Room Guest Authors Leave a Comment

Vanquest 2.0 Husky EDC Pouch

First off, if you haven’t heard of the brand Vanquest Gear, you should definitely check them out!  They are revolutionizing the tactical gear market, with a multitude of products, everything from tactical EDC backpacks, to range bags and everything in between. Vanquest has you covered and their gear is built tough!

Modular pocket organizers can be a huge help when trying to figure out how to carry small multi tools, flashlights and other everyday carry items with you at all times. Sometimes you have to get a little creative, but with the Vanquest line of modular pouches and organizers, you can’t go wrong. The EDCM-HUSKY is the middle brother in the Everyday Carry Maximizer (EDCM) series.  It measures 8″ (L) x 6″ (W) x 2″ (D), features 21 of the Maximizer offset-stitched elastic channels, and 4 flat pockets that deliver unparalleled organization. If you are looking for a medium-sized organizer to accommodate most of your EDC items, the EDCM-HUSKY is what you need. This pocket organizer will comfortably fit into any BDU side pocket, for easy access and carrying.

Vanquest 2.0 Husky EDC Pouch

I have been using the EDCM-Husky Organizer for about a week now. I have played around with some different configurations. At first I wanted to keep it as more of a backup kit to my smaller primary SERE kit, but have realized it is made to carry more than just smaller tools. I have several items that I have multiples of, like a small pry bar, lighter, flashlight, small pocket knife, lock picking tools and wads of 550 cordage. This is a great organizer, but Vanquest definitely takes it to the next level. Utilizing the signature Maximizer staggered/offset elastic loops, you get more use of the internal space than other pouches using elastic webbing with shared stitches. Think of this as a layering effect.  Instead of just being able to use the loops and fasteners for one single item, you can add a second dimension and layer a tool on top of another tool, provided it will fit. It has an easy access front slip pocket for a small notebook and a removable 6″ double hook key chain.  More features and materials are listed below.

Features/Specifications/Materials

● One external and three internal storage pockets

● 21 elastic “Maximizer” webbing slots: Staggered and offset stitching on elastic webbing reduces unusable space

● Grab handle eases hand carry and removing from pockets

● 6” double hook keychain removeable tether and three 1” paracord attachment loops

● 2” (H) x 4.5” (W) ID/Morale patch loop panel on front

● MOLLE/PALS webbing on rear for modular attachment

● 1,000-D Military grade Cordura® fabric with water-repellent Teflon® fabric protector by      DuPont®

● Hi-visibility, lightweight & water-resistant 210-D Ripstop nylon interior.

● Durable RC-Class YKK® #8 zippers, reversed for protection.

● User-friendly, circular zipper paracord pulls

● High tensile strength nylon webbings and binding tapes

● Finished with high tensile strength bonded nylon thread

This is the first time I have used a Vanquest product but I am already sold based on the EDCM Husky Pocket Organizer. I will definitely be buying more of their tactical products soon, whether I keep them in my pack, in my car or on me while on the move.
