Mission Gear

What Is YOUR Loadout?

April 1, 2012 by Jack Murphy 97 Comments

Hey Loadout Room readers, this month I’m going to be doing a feature in which I will show case the combat loads of actual Special Operations soldiers.  Why?  Because you’ve been asking us to do this for a while now.  I will detail what I carried in Afghanistan and Iraq and how my kit changed depending on what the mission was.  Also, I will be looking back to show you what past Special Forces soldiers carried in units like MACV-SOG.

I’d like to get as much participation in this as possible, so if you would like to share with us what you carried on deployment please get in touch via the “Send It!” button above.  Pictures and a list of what you carried are a must, additional details on how you liked your kit are a huge plus.  What worked, what didn’t, that sort of thing.  Please don’t send us information about what you are rolling outside the wire with today or tomorrow.  We don’t want to know and won’t publish that information.  Let’s keep it to previous deployments.

I would also like to open this up to non-SOF personnel, the better we can learn from each other.  Conventional Forces and Private Security Contractors are welcome as well but please state your job title in your message to help give us some context for what we are looking at.  If you don’t want your name published, let us know and we will respect your privacy.

I look forward to hearing from you real soon!
