Vanquest FTIM – Organizing your EDC

September 7, 2017 by Loadout Room Guest Authors Leave a Comment

Vanquest FTIM – Organizing your EDC

If you’re like me, then you probably tend to have a lot of smaller EDC items lying around. There are so many odds and ends that I use on a daily basis and they can quickly take up a lot of room and make things feel cluttered. Vanquest has a solution for such a problem with the Fast-Totally-Integrated-Maximizer, or FTIM.

Vanquest FTIM – Organizing your EDC

The FTIM is a pouch that is designed to bring all your small EDC items together in a convenient and organized package. The staggered and offset elastic loops allow for more storage space than other products in the same category using standard webbing. Vanquest states that their organizer is 15.5% more efficient than their competitor’s products.

The FTIM also includes a pair of high visibility Ripstop pockets that help maximize the storage already included. I like having the bright pockets because it gives a bit of contrast to the elastic loops and helps you find your items quicker in low-light conditions. The front panel of the FTIM opens up and folds down into a tool roll flap, which offers even more storage. The bottom of the pouch is designed to provide a shelf that prevents vertically stored items from slipping out of their storage slots during use.

All in all, the FTIM features two large pockets, four paracord loops, 27 vertical and horizontal elastic loops, and #8 YKK zippers. A large grab handle is provided on the top of the product as well as a loop field panel to attach a patch or flag. There is an exterior slip pocket that can be accessed from the outside as well as MOLLE/PALS webbing on the side and back to allow for more gear or to attach to another piece of equipment using MOLLE sticks. The FTIM is constructed of 1000D Cordura with TEFLON to give it the highest level of quality of ruggedness.

I find the FTIM to be a useful addition to my EDC rotation and I have been using it to keep my small assorted items together in a convenient location such as my Jeep or my backpack.

The FTIM comes in two sizes, which are Husky and Slim. The Husky is the pouch that I use, which is 8.5” (H) x 6.5” (W) x 2.5” (D). The Slim model is 7” (H) x 6” (W) x 2.5” (D), with only two paracord loops and 25 elastic storage slots. The models are available in Wolf Gray for $22 (HUSKY) and $18 (SLIM).
