Will the Glock 41 change your life?

**Practical Tactical Fanboy Warning** Read ahead, at your own risk.

For years, Glock fans have requested a G34/35 type handgun chambered in the venerable .45 ACP. This year, it has arrived  in the Glock 41. The Glock 34’s slide length (and more importantly width) that we’ve come to appreciate is present in the G41, as well as the 4.5lb trigger, and yes, it’s still the perfect size to fit into an IDPA box. But don’t relegate this gun exclusively to the the competition circuit; that would be a mistake. The profile is similar to a 1911; do we think of that as a “competition only” gun?

I predict that this gun will be under-appreciated by those who have yet to experience it.

The gentle push of a .45, in the inherently pointable and proven Glock platform is sure to perform. The added slide weight produced by leaving the slide uncut handles the .45 recoil nicely and balances naturally. This mitigates the muzzle flip by such a remarkable degree that “muzzle flip” may no longer accurately describe the gun’s response under recoil.

Will the G41 change your life? Maybe that would be an overstatement. Let’s just say that it certainly won’t detract from your daily existence.
