Sprinco Recoil-Management System First Impression

Sprinco Recoil-Management System: First Impression

Sprinco USA Recoil Reducers manage impact forces on the handgun slide and frame interface to produce the optimum balance of recoil and reliability. A lot of science went into the design of the graduated sub-spring. They are engineered for each model of handgun to ensure normal cycling and reliability. Reduced slide-to-frame impact results in reduced energy transfer. That is how engineers describe less felt recoil. I am not an engineer, but I can tell you they take a lot of jump out of the gun, particularly when shooting +P loads. When they say it extends the life of your pistol, I have to believe them.

Handguns convert potential chemical energy into kinetic energy, heat, and noise. Obeying the laws of physics, any force that goes out the barrel imparts an equal and opposite amount of energy out the back end of the gun. Inconveniently, this is exactly where you have to hold it. Given this dilemma, Sprinco is your best option to cushion the slide-to-frame impact, reduce recoil, and cure the flinch.

The first thing you’ll notice when you open the box is the nice finish and quality of the kit. All of the components are hand-polished for reduced friction. The sub-spring assembly rests inside a heat-treated 17-4 stainless-steel guide rod. The primary and secondary springs are made of chrome silicon wire and never have to be replaced.

Installation is as simple as removing the recoil system. No modifications to the gun are necessary. I used a Sprinco USA Recoil Reducer in my Rogers’ Glock slide project. A slide-mounted red-dot sight helps you see even a slight movement of the gun very clearly. I immediately noticed reductions in muzzle flip and felt recoil. This produced better control, faster sight recovery, and quicker follow-up shots.

The Sprinco Recoil Management System has a lifetime warranty against breakage. This doesn’t cost them anything since these units are so tough they don’t ever break. In the coming weeks, I will be putting the system to the test and I expect great results.
