Heads up, shotgunners: Mossberg has released its new FLEX conversion kits for the Mossberg 500 and Maverick 88 pump-actions in 12 and 20 gauge options, giving you a quick and easy way to adapt your scattergun to a variety of shooting applications. There are three Mossberg FLEX conversion kits available for each gauge, with all the required hardware included.
First up is the Stock and Forend Adapter Kit, which includes the FLEX TLS (Tool-less Locking System) stock and forend adapters only, but gives you the option to switch to FLEX accessory stocks, recoil pads and fronds on your Mossberg 500 and Maverick 88 shotguns.
Next is the Stock Adapter with FLEX Pistol Grip Kit, which encompasses the FLEX TLS stock adapter, as well as Mossberg’s FLEX pistol grip with a swivel stud and matte black finish. This option lets you convert your 500/88 to a Mossberg Cruiser platform for home defense, the press release says.
Lastly, the Stock Adapter Kit includes the FLEX TLS stock adapter only. It’ll enable your 500 or Maverick 88 to accept a FLEX stock and pistol grip for length-of-pull customization, or if you want to convert your hunting scattergun to a tactical shooter.
