Hydra Weaponry Announces Next-Gen MARCK-15 Hydra® and New Hydra 10

May 13, 2024 by Fred Rowlands Leave a Comment

Hydra Weaponry, Maine’s largest firearms employer and a leader in modular weapon systems, is excited to unveil two groundbreaking rifles: the Next-Gen MARCK-15 Hydra® Weapon System and the new Hydra 10. Both models demonstrate the company’s commitment to innovation, performance, and user-centric design.

Next-Gen MARCK-15 Hydra® Weapon System

The MARCK-15 Hydra® Weapon System, renowned for its truly modular design, now comes in a Next-Gen version of the multi-caliber 5.56 mm AR platform. Since its initial debut, Hydra Weaponry has significantly increased its manufacturing capacity, bringing the production of key components in-house to ensure a more reliable supply chain. This move has made the Hydra system more readily available through various distributors.

Enhanced Modularity: The Hydra system is now even more modular with the introduction of the Transforming Handguard©. This innovative feature allows the integration of accessories using M-LOK, Key, or Picatinny locking systems. The six-position, screw-in panels let users mix and match locking systems based on their needs. The Hydra comes with one panel of each type and a full set of M-LOK panels, ensuring readiness for any situation right out of the box.

Core Features: The 5.56mm Hydra serves as the base model for multiple caliber incarnations. It includes the Hydra Modular Lower Receiver with a 5.56mm AR mag well, an AR magazine, and the Hydra Quick Change Barrel Upper Receiver (QCB-D). Other features include a 5.56mm 1:7 twist barrel with a low-profile gas block, the Hydra Modified Bolt Carrier, the Hydra D-Fender D-Ring for increased reliability, a B5 Systems Bravo stock on a 6-position tube, and a Type 22 pistol grip.

Ease of Use: What sets the Hydra system apart is the simplicity of changing barrels. No special tools are needed. Two locking levers on the bottom of the fore-end rotate 90 degrees, positioning a cam bar over each side of the barrel’s front to lock it in place. The lower receiver allows for easy magazine swaps through in-house manufactured mag wells that require minimal tools to exchange.

Future-Ready: Hydra Weaponry also offers Conversion Packages for the 5.56 AR platform, enabling users to switch to .300 Blackout, .450 Bushmaster, 9mm SMG-9C, or AK-47 7.62×39. The Hydra can also be configured to accept AK mags which should come in handy for soldiers abroad who have captured enemy AK’s.

This Next-Gen Multi-Caliber, Modular AR rifle system is a leap beyond traditional AR platforms.

Introducing the Hydra 10

Hydra Weaponry’s latest innovation, the Hydra 10, is a .308 rifle that delivers the hard-hitting performance expected from a leading American AR-rifle manufacturer. Built on years of research, development, and real-world testing, the Hydra 10 combines advanced engineering with user-focused features to excel in any scenario.

Easy Handling and Hard Hitting

Modular Design: The Hydra 10 boasts a modular architecture that allows for easy customization and adaptation to suit individual preferences and mission requirements. As the base model for future caliber configurations, it only requires a barrel and bolt exchange to change calibers.

308 Caliber Precision: Chambered in the renowned .308 Winchester caliber, the Hydra 10 is engineered for exceptional accuracy and ballistic performance. It is suitable for both hunting larger game and tactical applications, ensuring decisive results with every shot.

Robust Construction: The Hydra 10 is crafted from premium materials and subjected to rigorous quality control standards. It features a BLK Systems stock and pistol grip, a Quick-Change Barrel Upper Receiver (QCB-D), and runs on a standard SR-25 magazine with a DPMS pattern.

Advanced Features: Equipped with a crisp trigger, ergonomic controls, and smooth cycling action, the Hydra 10 ensures optimal performance and shooter comfort. Its compatibility with a wide range of accessories and optics further enhances its versatility and effectiveness in the field.

Available in Coyote Tan

Availability and Pricing: The Hydra 10 is available with 16” and 18” length barrels and comes in either black or coyote tan. It is priced at an MSRP of $2,349.00.

“We are proud to introduce both the Next-Gen MARCK-15 Hydra® and the Hydra 10,” said Mack Gwinn III, CEO at Hydra Weaponry. “These rifles embody our commitment to innovation, quality, and performance, setting new standards of excellence in the world of modular and .308 caliber rifles.”
