If you need an affordable Kydex holster there are a lot of options out there. I needed something that wasn’t going to cost an arm and I could get relatively quickly on short notice. After perusing eBay, viewing the various makes and styles offered, I landed on a holster produced by Davis Tactical. I ordered an inside the […]
It was a very cold and rainy morning in December when a group of media contributors gathered at Glock’s headquarters in Smyrna, Ga. We had all been invited to see the new pistols that Glock is launching for 2018. As is the usual case, we all had to sign non-disclosure agreements and, as we met, […]
There’s no doubt that a Glock trigger leaves something to be desired when compared to newer striker fired handguns that have been released as of late. Gen 3 Glock triggers break in nicely with 10k plus rounds through them. However many have found that current Gen 4 Glocks have triggers that don’t break in quite […]
Just Because a Gun is in a Magazine Doesn’t Mean it’s the Right One For You I like to cover a lot of guns that aren’t seen in grocery-store magazines, and for a couple of reasons. First, common guns bore me. If I can go to three gun shops and see the same firearm at the […]
New calls to “do something” are coming every day as the left exploits the victims of violence to support their agenda of civilian disarmament. Thank you, Safariland. That’s the big summary from my time with the 537 open top concealment holster. It is the answer to a number of my complaints from other holsters. My initial impressions can be read here. Having been able to get some range time with this unit recently, I have more confidence than ever […]
Want to take your firearms training up a notch? What about your reality-based self-defense training? Combatives students who are practicing firearm disarming techniques need visual reinforcement that they are not being shot while attempting their particular techniques; the SIRT pistol offers this and more! SIRT pistols display a red laser dot when trigger slack is […]
I’ve used quite a few holsters in my time. Many have worked and many have not. When G-Code released the Incog holster in collaboration with Haley Strategic a few years back I jumped on the early adopter bandwagon. I was at once impressed with the fit, finish and stability of the Incog. Years went by […]
In the never-ending search for quality, performance and value in the market for every day carry, there is often little to separate certain products from one another. For weapon lights, one of the best I have found is the Olight PL-2 Valkyrie. It has those little qualities that make it stand out for me. I’ve previously written […]
