As the defensive tactics instructor at my department, I am very familiar with Armament Systems and Procedures (ASP). If you are a law enforcement officer you’ve probably heard of the company, they have been dishing out top quality police equipment since 1976. ASP is probably most known for their batons, but produce a wide range of gear for cops around the world. Today we are looking at the training baton, designed to allow real-life application during scenario training and DT training. I believe if you’re going to carry a tool, then you should be an expert with it. The ASP training baton allows for safe and effective training with a foam covered core and a grip that mirrors the real thing.  You can pick up a carrier that allows the trainee to draw their baton just as they would in a confrontation on the streets.
