Windham Weaponry’s .308 AR is ready for large caliber fun right out of the box. If you’re familiar with Windham Weaponry carbine’s, then you’ll know just what to expect with the .308’s fit and finish. It’s a light aluminum build weighing in at about 7.5lbs. The AR-10’s furniture is polymer, including a telescoping buttstock and an A2 style foregrip. The 16.5in barrel utilizes a 1:10 right-hand twist. The barrel itself is 4150 chrome moly vanadium 11595E steel, and is also chrome lined.
According to Jon Clark, Marketing Graphics Manager for the Maine manufacturer, these .308 rifles have been performing reliably and accurately, enduring abuse in excess of 5,000 and 7,000 rounds during trials.
