Today, my home state of Wisconsin sent a new piece of firearms legislation through the Senate and Assembly and on to Governor Walker.
The new bill, SB 527, largely has to do with shooting ranges and the noise they generate. If the Governor approves this piece of firearms legislation, ranges will be exempt from state and local ordinances relating to “noise or nonconforming use” (SB 527, Section 1 895.527 (3), Line 4).
As a firearms enthusiast in the state, I’m admittedly hoping that the bill is approved, and that its passage encourages more individuals to open shooting ranges and firearms training businesses.
