DoubleStar Noogie: Perfect for Summer Parties

July 11, 2018 by Rick Dembroski Leave a Comment

The Noogie by DoubleStar takes the art of popping bottle tops and puts a twist on it with this handy tool, and just in time for summer. While the Noogie may look like a weapon that is commonly referred to as “Brass Knuckles” it is in fact not designed to be a weapon.

The team at DoubleStar in fact states this very clearly on their web page and no one should attempt to use the Noogie in that manner. Now that we have the disclaimer out of the way lets address what the Noogie is designed for and that is create an easy and fun way to pop bottle tops of all types. Before we look into the specifications lets take a look at the video that the folks at DoubleStar made to show us exactly how the Noogie is intended to be used.

The Real Breakdown of the Noogie

While some people may look at the Noogie as a joke or a way to skirt the law, the real fact is that the Noogie works like a champ. It’s made of lightweight and durable aluminum and the tooth on the bottom of the tool does what it’s suppose to, pop the cap off any beer or soda bottle that you need it to.

The one thing I will say in all seriousness is that for some people like myself who have had hand trauma and nerve surgery the Noogie is a great help. The Noogie allows the user to push with the tool rather than pull up like a traditional bottle opener. This could also be useful for older people or people who just want a larger gripping surface when opening a bottle of their favorite brew.

In closing I would like to say thanks to DoubleStar Corp for be kind enough to send us the Noogie along with the other pieces of gear we will be spotlighting in the near future. It’s my opinion that if you find yourself routinely entertaining guests and using a traditional bottle opener that maybe you should look at picking up a Noogie, or if you are stuck during the holidays trying to think of a stocking stuffer or office exchange gift, the Noogie would work well in that application also.
