Flowfold Navigator Passport Holder

August 9, 2017 by Richard Moore 1 Comment

Flowfold Navigator Passport Holder

Built for expeditions that bring you across borders, the Flowfold Navigator keeps your travel essentials securely within reach. The design allows use of your passport within the wallet by leaving all but the back cover free or it can be closed and stowed away completely. Three inside pockets hold currency, passport and tickets while the outer piece keeps cards and ID’s readily available. The passport holder is built with X-Ply technology. X-PLY is used to create racing fabrics with incredible resistance to flex, elongation and degradation from U.V. This wallet will stand against mother nature and has a lifetime warranty; not bad if you don’t ever need another passport case.

If you are a world traveler and your passport takes you to hot, wet or dusty locations then this will help protect your visas, stamps and tags from mother nature. It has plenty of space for your travel needs and holds up well, if you are like me and always keep your passport in your pocket when traveling. So far the wallet has had no design failures.

Flowfold Navigator Passport Holder

Similar concern with the minimalist wallet is that with many of the modern credit cards and current USA Passports, the holder is not RFID shielded and therefore could lead to data leakage. I did some research on the X-Ply and while some of the fabrics have Aramid built-in, and the design could lead to a faraday cage construction. However, in testing the holder it still allows for RFID emissions. So, while the passport holder can endure extreme conditions, you might have to choose which cards you take with you when using this wallet. If your cards have these names on them Visa PayWave, MasterCard PayPass, American Express ExpressPay and Discover Zip, you should get a protection sleeve or a shielded passport carrier. Don’t forget that your USA Passport, USA Passport Card and Global Entry ID, have an RFID chip built-in as well.
