The Grey Ghost Gear Range Bag is a definite must have for anyone carrying tactical equipment to and from multiple locations. This is a small to medium lightweight shoulder bag that will get you to the range with the tools you need and keep everything organized for you. The bag itself measures 12 inches tall, 14 inches wide and 8.5 inches deep giving you a total of 1428 cubic inches. It is constructed of 500D nylon Cordura which holds up to scuffs, scratches and repels dirt while being tossed around on the deck. The shoulder strap is padded and contoured to stay on your shoulder when your hands are full. The shoulder strap is fully adjustable and is easily removed by disengaging the side release buckles on either side. On both outer ends of the Range Bag are smaller zippered pockets that will help to contain folded electronic ear and eye protection, range finders and possibly a small cleaning kit.
On the front of the Range Bag is a zippered pouch that allows the front flap to fold out to a semi rigid workstation. On this flat work space, you can use this for gun cleaning, magazine reloading or just a clean space to set tools or ammo on. The fold down flap is covered with vinyl to make a work space that can stand up to oil and solvents used in cleaning and lubing your weapon. The interior of this compartment is covered in velcro material sewn across the compartment for magazine or tool storage, which offers plenty of space to hold extra magazines or other accessory pouches. What’s really cool, is there is a rare earth magnet sewn into the middle of the work area that will attract and draw small metal pieces to it, like grip screws, springs, etc. in order to keep them from getting lost or rolling away. On the reverse side of the bag there is a velcro flap pocket to keep folded paper targets and even a staple gun, which most people forget to bring to the range.
The interior of the main compartment features mesh cinch pockets on either end to hold spent cartridges or smaller items. There are two full length dividers in the compartment that are secured to the bag using hook and loop velcro material. This allows the user to move them around as needed inside the bag. The lid has mesh storage on the underside for even more organization of shooting supplies, while the bottom of the bag has non-skid feet and webbing to reinforce the bag.
I have the Grey Ghost Range Bag setup to hold a full size HK P2000 handgun with 3 extra magazines. I am able to carry multiple boxes of 100 round ammo and many accessories as well. There is plenty of room to carry everything you need for the range in this bag.
