Two Father’s Day Gift Recommendations from 180 Second Ideas

Two quick Father’s Day Gift Recommendations from Johnny at 180 Second Ideas:

LEOS Red Dot Sight by AT3 Tactical

Most shooting enthusiasts will never put a combat-ready optic on their home defense or Sunday target rifle.  Nor should they.  The LEOS by AT3 Tactical is for everyday shooters who want quality on a mid-level budget.  With an integrated riser, the red dot sight also features a laser for home defense and low-light shooting.  Attaches without tools to any picatinny rail and has a solid warranty.  The lens caps are attached and the overall optic looks sleek and feels well machined.  More importantly, the sight simply works.  It is easy to zero, reliable, waterproof and fogproof.  The more I use this optic, the more I like it.  Especially for the price.  Is it ready for a SWAT mission?  No, but neither am I.  All I need is a solid optic to get to the range, knock down cans, and hold zero with no fuss…and that the LEOS absolutely does.  Solid optic for everyday dads at a fair price.

The Outlander by Crossfire

I rarely conceal carry on weekends, and when I am working outdoors, camping, or hiking, I do not want a firearm on my belt.  The Outlander keeps a semiautomatic pistol close, with options for a variety of carry styles.  It features a padded shoulder strap which allows for chest carry or traditional under arm shoulder-style carry. The strap is removable for belt carry or for use in transport.  The holster is ambidextrous, uses thick memory foam padding, and is closed in the barrel end.  I tested a 5” Outlander paired with a full-sized, steel pistol which was simply too large to carry on my belt or IWB.  The Outlander allowed me to spend entire days with a three-pound gun by moving the carry position to my chest or side.  On range days I removed the strap and used the holster as protection inside my range bag. The construction is solid, feels and looks good, and is USA made.  It is not an EDC holster, but will shine on the weekends, especially with dad’s larger guns.
