Quick Look: Mystery Ranch Spartan Assault Pack

September 10, 2014 by Jonathan Wade 4 Comments

When it comes to packs, Mystery Ranch is one of my top choice. Quite a few friends of mine are fielding Mystery Ranch packs and loves them. Whether it’s for military use, hiking or everyday carry, the Mystery Ranch packs will never let you down!

The pack is very well-built and will take a beating.

The Spartan Assault pack is the smallest in his category. If you need a pack you can use in tight quarters, you will be served! Quite often soldiers are fighting in this type of environment and still need a pack to carry their water, spare ammunition and medical equipment. Having a small pack such as the Spartan Assault pack will give them the ability to do so but without the hassle of having a bigger pack getting caught in doorways and in tight corridors.

Available in Coyote Brown, Multicam and Black, the Spartan assault pack can hold 16 litres of gear and weighs only 2 lb 10 oz.

Here’s the description Mystery Ranch’s website gives:

“The Spartan is our smallest assault pack and works well operating out of vehicles or in tight quarters. It uses our fully adjustable Futura yoke, has a removable waistbelt and our Spadelock system to customize the main compartment.  Inside are two side hydro pockets and a PALS panel.  An access zip at the top of the bag allows for easy porting of radio wires/antennae and hydration tubes. There is plenty of PALS webbing for customization and a 4”x 4” Velcro panel on the top for identification patches.”

The backpanel is meshed and allow a good ventilation.

Spec sheet available here. The price: $250.00 to $288.00.
