Whats a Loadout Room without a proper loadout bag? A mess. Here is a piece of gear for all your cool pieces of gear. Of course we all love our kitbags, and why shouldn’t you. The thing has yet to fail me and it’s almost a bottomless pit of kit and clothing. But taking a big open bag on deployments and traveling can turn your room into something that requires a Battle Damage Assessment if you can’t find your favorite socks. There’s a ton of options out there but one that stood out to me was the London Bridge Large Wheeled Load-Out Bag with padding. This thing is large, not TOO heavy empty (with the pads in place) for those fantastic airline charges for having to haul around your mancessories. When you are hauling guns, plates, and electronics such as NODs, comms, what have you. The pads are pretty essential. But they are easily removable. I’ll leave the specs here for you below and you can take it from there.
I have two of these bags and I fit all of my “go to” gear in just one. This includes kit, armor, helmet, gun, nods, plenty of mags, some outerwear and snivel gear for weather, extra boots, gloves and other random mission essential and un-essential-but-why-the-hell-not-because-there’s-room equipment. It has roomy pockets externally and plenty of zippered mesh pouch storage inside to compartmentalize your stuff. I travel a lot with this bag and haven’t had worn out spots from dragging, busted zippers, the usual complaints we have. The 1000 denier Cordura is plenty beefy enough to do its job. You can insert padded dividers via velcro (mmmmm, velcro) wherever your gear dictates to keep things nice and tight in there and keeping your plates from smashing your NODs mount. Because that’s always fun to find out when you get to the training site (there’s plenty of room for a roll of trusty 100mph tape in there). The bag comes in a few different colors including black, coyote brown, coyote tan (I guess there’s a difference) and multicam. I don’t know what else to say, it’s a freakin’ bag. I’m sure you can find a midget stripper to climb in there if inclined to do so. What else are you gonna blow your TDY money on? But the thing works and I have found it very valuable over the years. It comes with a bit of heavy price tag but you can find sales for them if you look hard enough.
