Wilder Tactical’s Minimalist Battle Belt: Light Weight Wonder That Hangs on Tight

April 20, 2018 by Mark Miller Leave a Comment

Like all their gear, Wilder Tactical’s Minimalist Battle Belt was designed with the gunfighter in mind. The textured neoprene interior creates a comfortable non-slip system that eliminates the need for a velcro inner Belt.

Constructed with a laser-cut proprietary 1000D Cordura® laminate, this versatile belt pad is the perfect foundation for Wilder Tactical Pouches. The exterior features vertical laser-cut slots that accommodate ANY belt (up to 1.75”).

I set my Minimalist Battle Belt up with an Elite Survival Systems Cobra gun belt. I like the Cobra Quick Release buckles from AustriAlpin, they are the strongest load-bearing buckles available and they stay secure until you need them off. The ease of adjusting the size of the belt makes costume changes easy.

The ability to weave the belt in and out is key. I don’t want my holster attached to a carrier, I want it directly mounted to the belt to form a stable platform. There are some other pieces of gear I have used, like baton holders, which are specifically designed for the belt and work better than their molle equivalents.

The end result is a highly adaptable lightweight belt. I keep my belt on the outside, no matter what I am wearing. It is common for my wardrobe to change from light clothing to rain gear to parka in a single day. The inner rubberized padding keeps belt from moving no matter what I am wearing, even when I am running or drawing my handgun. I don’t loose my security features if I cover up my inner belt with clothing.

Available in Black, OD Green, Flat Dark Earth and MultiCam.
