Watch: One of those days | Candide Thovex & Faction Skis

March 2, 2018 by Erik Meisner Leave a Comment

Faction Skis

Just when you thought you’ve seen it all, Candide Thovex of France puts down another one of his sick ski videos. Known for pushing the limits on his skis and the now infamous “One of those days” videos, Candide has done it once again. He’s been skiing on Faction Skis for several of his videos and it prompted me to take a closer look at his equipment. Currently, Faction Skis are made in the European Union with their US base in Brekenridge Colorado. And they remain one of the few independent ski manufacturers left. One of their new skis for 2018, pays tribute to Candide Thovex with the signature CT 2.0 skis.

Faction Skis was started 12 years ago by a group of self proclaimed ski bums. With the mindset that their products needed to be affordable, last 100+ day seasons and survive the winter without servicing them, the Faction Collective was born. Meeting with them at Outdoor Retailer in Denver this year, I was able to secure a pair of their Prime 2.0’s for testing. So stay tuned for for a review in the coming weeks. For now, just sit back and enjoy this insane video.
