SOF Week 2024 was an absolute powerhouse of an event. This year’s lineup of exhibitors included industry heavyweights like Sig Sauer, Barrett, Knight’s Armament, and FN America. These top-tier companies showcased their cutting-edge firearms and tactical gear, giving attendees a firsthand look at the latest innovations designed to give operators the edge in the field. Among the standout exhibitors this year are some of the most respected names in the firearms industry, many offering something in the “extreme-range” category.
Barrett Firearms: Best known for their precision rifles like the Barrett M82, they brought their high-caliber, long-range rifles designed for military and special operations.
US Ordnance, Inc: Renowned for their military-grade small arms and machine guns, including the M2A2, M2HB, M60E6, and M240 series. Their booth showcased their powerful and reliable weapons.
FN America: Famous for the FN SCAR series and the M249 SAW, FN America featured some of their latest tactical and special operations firearms.
Sig Sauer: A major player in tactical and military firearms, Sig Sauer had an extensive range of pistols and rifles, highlighting their latest innovations in the field.
Knight’s Armament: Specializing in high-quality, modular firearms, Knight’s Armament presented its state-of-the-art weapon systems that are favorites among special forces globally.
In addition to these exhibitors, the “Veterans, Guns & Cigars Range Day” event included live demonstrations and shooting competitions, offering attendees a hands-on experience with the latest firearm technologies and a chance to test their marksmanship skills.
These exhibits and events provide a unique opportunity for direct engagement with manufacturers and an up-close look at cutting-edge advancements in firearm technology, all designed to enhance the capabilities of special operations forces. Very few times will a person in the field be able to speak directly to a company representative who’s in charge of fixing their problems but here at SOF week, it happened every day.
