Tyr Tactical PICO Assaulters Plate Carrier Reviewed

Tyr Tactical PICO Assaulters Plate Carrier Reviewed

I just had the pleasure of reviewing a Tyr Tactical PICO Assaulters Plate Carrier, which is on my list of the Top 5 Plate Carriers that I’ve worn and tried over my 14 year career as a light infantryman.

The PICO is a solid plate carrier that will withstand the harsh environments and abuses that operators will put it through. When bullets start flying you don’t want to end up with a crappy piece of gear that will fail you. Rest assured, the Tyr Tactical PICO will keep you in the game!

Built with durable PV material, which makes the plate carrier durable and offers some weight reduction, the PICO is a very good low profile plate carrier that is astonishingly thin.

One of the greatest features that the Tyr Tactical PICO offers is the Antimicrobial/FR-treated padded spacer mesh used on the internal portions of the carrier. This padded spacer mesh will be a big hit with anyone who has deployed to godforsaken places where the temperature is like an oven, because it will allow air to flow and keep the wearer cool.

The PICO can hold seven standard 5.56mm magazines with the MOLLE Kangaroo Front Flap and the side pouches. The hydration pouch in the back can hold a standard bladder and has tabs for routing.

Adjusting the Tyr Tactical PICO is really easy! The Velcro attachments on the shoulder straps are easily handled and then covered by two removeable shoulder pads. It takes a few seconds and the PICO sits perfectly on your shoulders.

The Tyc Tactical PICO will be a great armor solution no matter what branches of service use it. The PICO is available in Multicam, Coyote Brown, Ranger Green and Black, and depending on armor options, the price varies between $595.95 and $749.95. Get yours now from Tyr Tactical’s website.
