Lightweight hiking first aid kits | Dark Angel Medical Ouch Pouch

First Aid Kits can be a tricky item to try and get down to an ‘lightweight’ level, but still contain the needed items. You have two options here. First, you can custom build your own kit by selecting a case and then all the contents you think you’ll need. This option is for the more experienced who have a handle on what to use. The second option, which is what we are going to cover here is buying an off the shelf kit, but finding an off the shelf kit can sometimes be time consuming and frustrating. In the past when I have purchased off the shelf kits, I’ve had to make some serious modifications to the contents; not the case with the kit from Dark Angel Medical. The specific kit we are going to look at is the Ouch Pouch from Dark Angel Medical.

From the Dark Angel Medical website:

If you’re prone to slicing, dicing or otherwise dinging yourself up, you might want to invest in our new Ouch Pouch. Just throw it in your gear and be prepared for those little Ouch! moments in life. Each Ouch Pouch comes complete with a high visibility red nylon pouch made by FirstSpear.

Ouch Pouch Contents:
