In the sister article to this one, I showed a video of Defense Distributed’s Ghost Gunner CNC mill that details finishing an 80% AR lower receiver. As a counterpoint to the automated version, I’d like to show finishing off an 80% receiver using jigs from 80% Arms.
While a DIY approach to completing the machine work on a receiver won’t likely save you money (in the short term), it does have a number of benefits. These include a more hands-on building experience and lack of serial number, among others.
