Although this bag is not necessarily part of my ’emergency’ kit for roadside emergencies, it does stay in my vehicle next to the roadside assistance gear. Some may want to categorize this as a go-bag, which I guess it could fill that role. Part of my preparedness mindset is being ready to assist others when they’re having a bad day. Not too long ago I wrote an article covering the ‘Batman bag concept‘. This 12-hour bag is an evolution of that. My 12-hour bag is loaded out to support myself and another person for upwards of 12 hours. Pat McNamara recently posted a few videos of his loadout which prompted me to take a look at mine and make some adjustments.
