Immigration and Customs Enforcement Seeking Sig Sauer P320 X-Carry?

Back in February, a leaked screen shot of an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) intranet announcement told us that the Department of Homeland Security’s  Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE), had picked the Sig Sauer P320 as their new duty sidearm. Following the Army’s lead, ICE  chose a modular handgun system to give their agents.

Now, rumors among ICE officers indicate that the agency will attempt to buy the Sig Sauer P320 with the X-Carry variant frame. This would be a great value for the government and Sig will have a top performing model out in the field. Kudos to the guys at ICE’s Office of Training and Tactical Programs (OTTP) and I hope they follow a solid test selecting the Sig P320 with good management of the contract.

The Sig Sauer P320 X-Carry 9mm is the concealed carry variant in Sig’s P320 X-Series. The P320 X-Carry has a modular X-series grip frame that features an extended beavertail and a high undercut trigger guard to promote a higher grip and improved recoil control. Like the other models in the X-Series, Sig has added a competition-grade flat trigger, along with improved competition grips.

There’s an X-ray3 front sight, and rear night sights that are attached to a removable plate for mounting an RMR optic like the Romeo1. Optimal weight & feel in the slide is achieved with the enhanced slide serrations and lightening cuts. The Sig Sauer P320 X-Carry  comes with three 17-round 9mm magazines.
