Para 1911: Executive Agent and Black Ops Recon

Para USA - Bringing More 1911s to the Table - TheArmsGuide.com
Para 1911s - Introducing the Executive Agent and Black Ops Recon - TheArmsGuide.com
Para 1911s – Featuring: the Executive Agent – TheArmsGuide.com

The Executive Agent is a Para 1911 designed with concealed carry in mind, as evidenced by the short 3 inch barrel. It also features an Ed Brown bobtail to help reduce printing while carrying. The comfort of the grip is improved with a pair of VZ G10 grip panels. The forged aluminum frame is hard coat anodized. The slide and barrel both have Ionbond PVD coating. This Para 1911 carries 8+1 rounds of .45 ACP. While the short barrel ought to give the Executive Agent some kick, Tomasie tells me it’s still an accurate little pistol. Para hasn’t started selling this carry 1911, but when it hits sales floors (hopefully within the next month or so), it’ll be have a MSRP of $1,399.

If the 3′ barrel 1911 doesn’t suit your fancy, the new 4.25″ barrelled Black Ops Recon might. It’s a commander size 1911, but the Recon doesn’t lack in capacity: it’s offered as a double stack (which holds 14+1, as opposed to the single stack’s 8+1). Its frame, barrel, and slide also feature the Ionbond PVD coating. This Para 1911 also sports the VZ G10 grips that the Executive Agent wears. However, the Recon adds an accessory rail to its frame.

Another model in the Black Ops 1911 line is the Black Ops Combat. It has the same features as the Recon, but adds a 5.5″ threaded barrel. These two variations run in the $1,300 range. Which of these Para 1911s do you find most interesting?
