Firearms Training Facility Under Attack: Support the Fight on GoFundMe

Shooting, gun culture and civil rights are under attack across the U.S., but no where as violently as in California. Not content with having redundant and confusing laws, they are now attacking gun stores and ranges.  The latest drama comes with an attack on a training facility used by SEALS, MARSOC, the Coast Guard, DHS, Border Patrol and law enforcement as well as regular shooters in San Diego county.
The owner, Marc Halcon, has a long history of supporting civil rights groups as well as training. Covert Canyon has provided the facilities and raised funds for charitable organizations like First Wave Foundation, Wounded Warrior, Warrior Foundation. SEAL Forward Foundation, Naval Special Warfare Family Foundation, the Pink Pistols, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Peace Officers Family Foundation as well as church groups.
This is a fight you can join. The following appeal has been made on GoFundMe:

Marc Halcon has been fighting the good fight against all odds to preserve and protect our ability to defend ourselves on the west coast for the past 40 years. He opened Covert Canyon Training Center in 2006.

Having spent over $900,000  fighting off the relentless anti-gun lawyers, paying never ending taxes and fees at every level of government, he has now been rewarded for his efforts with a fake news hit piece by our own local CBS 8.

When a ‘news’ report includes personal attacks and insults, you know you’re fighting for what’s right.

On top of it all Marc recently survived a head-on collision with a utility truck and is hard at work in physical therapy to recover his already limited mobility. In the accident investigation it was ruled he was 100% not at fault.

If you know Marc or know someone who knows Marc (you probably do), you know Marc is the not the kind of guy that is fantastically comfortable asking for assistance.

In fact, this supportive fundraiser was my idea, not his, and I just spent an hour convincing him to let the 2nd Amendment community throw some well-deserved support his way.

Marc has proven himself to be a true ally of the self-defense civil rights community and fully supports the fact that the 2nd Amendment is for ALL AMERICANS.

“For 10+ years Marc has allowed police and military to use his facility at no charge. This has been an invaluable resource due to the lack of local outdoor range facilities available. I am a firm believer in this aiding in the readiness of Naval Special Warfare personnel as shooting is a perishable skill and war is hell. Marc is a true American who believes in this country and does everything he can to ensure the safety of our great nation.” -Matt Klier

He has proven himself in so many ways over so many years.

Let’s show him some of the love he deserves and help him keep one of the best training resources in San Diego County alive and growing well into the future!

Please help us send a strong message to the anti-self-defense, anti-civil-rights, anti 2nd Amendment leeches that in a time where America has never been more divided, the 2nd Amendment community has room for everyone and protects its own against frivolous lawsuits, never ending taxation, and fake news!

Additional statements from Marc:
100% of the funds will be used to satisfy the local and state requirements, as well as pay any fees or taxes, or payments required to maintain the operation standards.
