Everybody says EOTech is far superior to any optic out there. “Operators use EOTech so it must be the best” and so on and so forth. The fact of the matter is, EOTech isn’t that great. You probably are comparing me to one batshit crazy ex-girlfriend you had and that’s cool and all, but in all honesty? EOTech makes mediocre optics for the price. Plain and simple. EOTech is only “the best” because they were the first. The pictures you see of “operators” are old, and they are from when EOTech was the only company making holographs. Vortex, on the other hand, exposed EOTech’s flaws – Vortex made EOTech irrelevant with one optic release. Crazy, right? I know. That Vortex optic is named after one of the most badass helo’s ever made – the workhorse aka the UH-1 “Huey”.
