LUCI Outdoor 2.0 solar powered lantern

October 24, 2017 by Loadout Room Guest Authors Leave a Comment

When people say that cheap gear is cheaply made, they are typically correct. However, LUCI is the benchmark for the exception to that vernacular .  The LUCI Outdoor by MPOWERD is the most pragmatic piece of field gear that I own. It is a self contained, inflatable, waterproof and solar-powered little engine that could. I have used the four that I own within the context of the military as well as civilian applications. They have retained their ability to charge and function with little to no care to their wellbeing for over three years. The LEDs produce evenly distributed and bright light; the system can also be strung up by two attachment points made into the body of the lantern.

  LUCI Outdoor 2.0 Lantern

The Gen 2.0 model, in my opinion, is superior due to the addition of the charge level indicator.  The LUCI is perfect for vehicle emergency kits, SERE applications, camping and a myriad of other applications. The LUCI’s durability and lightweight packability make it an easy choice for the weight conscious hauler.

LUCI Outdoor 2.0 Lantern

In my opinion, it is one of the best items that I have bought for under $20.
