Hi-Vis Spring Essentials

Hi-Vis Spring Essentials

Spring has sprung. It’s time to ditch your winter coat, say goodbye to all those pockets, and get back outside. While the warmer weather is a welcome change of pace, it’s not always sunshine. Spring usually means rain, so it’s important that your EDC gear has some level of water resistance. It’s also the time of year to reintroduce more color to your wardrobe, so why not brighten up your gear too? A bit of color in your EDC also serves a practical purpose — it makes it easier to find your gear, especially in the outdoors. In this loadout we’ve curated with help from our friends at Huckberry, you can find some weatherproof gear and hi-vis essentials to cover your bases in style this Spring.

Deep Blue Dive Watch

Hi-Vis Spring Essentials

For a watch that’s easy to read outdoors and durable enough to survive in it, check out Deep Blue Watches. These rugged, professional-grade dive watches measure in at a highly legible 44mm, complete with Super Luminova lume for easy time-telling in low light. 316L stainless steel case construction lets it stand up to daily wear and tear, while water resistance to 330m keeps it ticking even after a dip. Lastly, a rubber strap keeps it comfortable even when wet.

Magpul DAKA Waterproof Pouch

Hi-Vis Spring Essentials

For a convenient way to carry loose gear while keeping them protected from the elements, reach for a gear pouch. The DAKA Pouch from Magpul is bright orange for visibility outdoors, but more importantly, it’s waterproof. YKK zippers and reinforced polymer fabric keep water at bay to protect your portable tech like phones and cameras. Carabiner attachment points also make it easier to carry when you have to go hands-free.
