Growing up, I always remember my Dad being prepared. Didn’t matter where we were going or what we were doing, he always seemed to have the right tools for the right job. Most notably he always had his Swiss Army Executive pocket knife in his pocket. Used it for everything from picking locks to daily utility tasks. One of our favorite shows to watch when I was younger was MacGyver and I always viewed my dad as that guy. Needless to say, I grew up being exposed to what a preparedness mindset looks like. I’m not talking end of the world zombie apocalypse, but just having some basic gear to get you through an emergency or help someone else get through one.
Before I became involved with the Loadout Room and Crate Club, I would always seek the advice of subject matter experts when looking for gear for an emergency kit or upgrading my EDC. The last thing I wanted to do was to buy several different lights or knives or any other gear for that matter, only to find that one of them met my expectations. Now I’m left with extra products that I now need to return. By seeking the advice of subject matter experts, I don’t need to worry about if said piece of gear will work or not. If they say its good to go, then I’ll rest easy knowing I’m good to go.
That’s exactly what we do here at the Crate Club. Majority of us are military veterans and draw on that experience to test and select gear that will perform when needed and last a long time. Whether its tactical gear, emergency kits, EDC gear or barware for your favorite drink at the end of the day, we’re ensuring you’ll be prepared and ready to respond. Become the Capable Citizen this Christmas by allowing the Crate Club to provide you with the tools of the trade, delivered to your doorstep monthly.
