Elite Survival Systems Rifle Case

August 7, 2018 by Loadout Room Guest Authors Leave a Comment

Elite Survival Systems Rifle Case

When traveling to the range I like to keep the number of items I have to carry to a minimum.  I have used a hard shell rifle case for a number of years for traveling with my rifle and also for local range trips.  I recently decided that I wanted something lighter and easier to carry from the car to the shooting position. I looked around and came across a familiar name in the nylon gear industry, Elite Survival Systems.  I have been using their gear since back when they went by the name Assault Systems name.  I ordered one of their Assault Systems AR rifle cases and received it within a few days.

The first thing that I noticed is the heavy duty feel of the nylon and the protective feeling of the closed foam.  The case comes with an adjustable shoulder strap, with a nonslip pad, and wrap around carrying handles. The zipper runs down from the spine and along the full length of the case on one side for easy access to your rifle.  I don’t run any optics on my rifle but there is ample room inside to accommodate just about any optics and accessories that a shooter might run on their rifle. On the outside of the case, there are five pockets with Velcro closures that will accommodate magazines (steel or Pmags) and a long pocket with a Velcro closure that’s good for cleaning gear and miscellaneous tools for the range.  I’ve had a few opportunities to get out and use the case since I got it and it fits the bill for my needs.
