New MSR PocketRocket Deluxe Stove Delivers Premium Features

New MSR PocketRocket Deluxe Stove Delivers Premium Features

SEATTLE, Wash. (June 17th, 2018) — Seattle-based Mountain Safety Research® (MSR®), introduces the PocketRocket® Deluxe stove, a feature-packed enhancement to its predecessors. The innovative, ultralight stove offers premium features, including an instant push-start piezo igniter, a wind-resistant, broad burner and a pressure regulator.

“We’re excited to add the PocketRocket Deluxe to our stove line because it packs many new technologies into a small package,” Scott Youmans, MSR stoves and combustion category manager, said. “It is another example of the overarching philosophy of MSR stove development to provide great performance in real-world conditions.”

New Features Improve a Best-Selling Stove

Carrying on the legacy of the original best-selling PocketRocket, this Deluxe model sets the bar for ultralight performance, ease of use and durability in a compact package. Its pressure regulator ensures that the stove maintains consistently fast boil times, even in cold weather and with low fuel, boiling up to 1.5 minutes faster than an unregulated stove in cooler temperatures.

Weighing just 83 g (2.9 oz), the PocketRocket Deluxe allows backpackers to shed the weight of larger stove systems without sacrificing an exceptional cooking experience.

A push-start piezo igniter is routed inside the stove, preventing damage and ensuring long-lasting reliability and durability. MSR engineers have tested the fast, reliable piezo lighter to 15,000 ignition cycles, ensuring the lighter will function for years to come.

In challenging breezy conditions, the PocketRocket Deluxe’s broad burner improves wind resistance, performing nearly 50% faster than standard burners in 5 mph winds. The broad burner also combines with simmer control for a wide array of cooking modes. MSRP: $69.95.
