I wanted an inert red demonstration gun for teaching, but I didn’t want to spend the money and do an FFL transfer to buy a Glock 17P. So, I bought a Poly80 glock style frame on sale. I had an extra OEM slide so I put a red Mako Group Snap-On TactiSkin Slide Cover. The different frame and red cover made it clear this was not an ordinary Glock. I broke the tip of of the striker so that it was inert and I took the connector out so the trigger would move but not fire. My Red gun is perfect for demonstrating manipulations but it won’t dry fire. It is inert, the trigger is dead. The DryFireMag is the perfect addition to this system. I have fired this system hundreds and hundreds of times and I see the difference when I go to the range. I can also teach trigger pull and reset in the classroom without resetting the trigger.
