It’s hard to get excited about a camp light, but a camp light like this does make me excited. Gone are the days of dealing with the glass globes, wicks, and mantles of the Coleman camp lights we all used as kids. The 21st century and the Streamlight Siege has made those obsolete.
This compact, waterproof, rugged, cordless, battery-powered lantern provides 360° of soft, even light that illuminates a large area. It features multiple settings for brightness and color (white or red), including an S.O.S. strobe setting. Plus, the Siege floats; try that with Grandpa’s lantern!
The watertight lens screws off if you decide to hang the lantern inverted and cast the most light available. Two spring-loaded D-ring clips allow you to hang this lantern upside down or right-side-up depending on how you want to cast the available light. With six available settings to chose from, a great price point, and its use of common D-cell batteries, this lantern is a winner for sure.
I was skeptical at first, but honestly, I use this lantern as my bedside light as well as my primary lantern while camping. Priced at 36 bucks, it’s not hard on the wallet, either. Actually, it’s difficult to find a decent regular handheld flashlight for that price. Check out the Siege by Streamlight and you won’t be disappointed.
